Adobe has announced its unification of the Flash media technologies with the Flash platform, encompassing the Flash player, AIR, Flash Builder, Flash Professional, Flash Media Server, LiveCycle and Flash Platform Services into a single brand providing an integrated set of technologies for the business environment.
Adobe Flash which is already reaching over 98% of all internet capable computers and devices allows developers to create dynamic immersive content for the end user without the worry of platform or compatibility issues.
Recently added to this range is the Flash Builder application an extension on the Flex platform, available as a Beta since last year, coupled with the release of the ColdFusion Builder providing developers with a whole new environment for building ColdFusion applications.
The Flash Builder authoring environment is built upon the Eclipse platform powered by the Java framework, as with the ColdFusion platform allowing for the unison of these exceptionally powerful technologies allowing developers to create unique rich internet applications that might previously have never been possible.
Using these tools we at Montage Media will be able to create a new generation of interactive content ranging from fully integrated content management systems interacting with desktop application to 3d virtual environments.
